Yellow Gold Double Halo Engagement Ring

The Dakota Ring is a yellow gold double halo engagement ring from the Edwardian Era, circa 1910! This beauty centers a GIA Certified 0.92 carat old mine cut diamond of G color, SI1 clarity. The diamond is bezel set in a platinum-topped 14kt yellow gold setting. The center diamond is surrounded by a double halo of 38 old cut diamonds that combine for approximately 1.20 carats. The ring is size 6.75 and can be resized!

Why We Love It

Everything. Just everything. So bold, so chic. Can you believe all those diamonds were cut by hand? This yellow gold double halo engagement ring is like a fine work of art surrounded by an equally gorgeous frame! A dreamy cushion in a two-tone setting with a double halo and did we mention that it's low-profile? We really love this piece as an engagement ring (maybe with just a thin gold wedding band), but it would work equally well as a bold cocktail ring! Its tiered design reminds us of a terraced garden, giving it a delicious sense of depth—matched by its stunning surface area, of course—while still sitting close to the hand!

Cheers To Turn Of The Century Cocktail Fashion!

From approximately 1900–1910, the Edwardian Era was characterized by its opulence and optimism. In the years before World War I, spirits were high and fashion flourished. This yellow gold double halo engagement ring speaks to the grandeur of the time, but it also anticipates the later style of the Art Deco influence, which favored bold geometric designs.

Art Deco fashion is particularly famous for its cocktail rings. In the years of American Prohibition during the 1920s, underground speakeasies were the place to be. Despite their secrecy, they were also the place to be seen. Large, elaborate cocktail rings were the perfect way to complement a hand holding a glass of something on the rocks!

Both of these eras are present in the Dakota ring—the stateliness of Edwardian fashion and the bold extravagance of Art Deco. Two distinct vintage styles at work in a single, stunning design!

Q: Can we see the rings in person?

A. Yes! We are available by appointment in NYC! Feel free to Contact Us or call us to set up an appointment! Read all about appointments here!

Q: Can my ring be resized?

A. Yes! We offer one complimentary resizing and MOST rings can be resized. Each additional resize is $80. Contact us to see if a certain ring can be sized to your preference! Keep in mind that resizing can take up to a 1 week.

Q: Do you do custom work?

A. Yes! We do indeed do custom work when we source the center stone and we work exclusively with antique diamonds! We are not currently creating settings for stones that we do not source. The custom process starts at $10,000.

Q: What about diamond certification?

A. We wrote a whole page on your questions on diamond certification here!

Q: What is your return policy?

A. We are on a mission to pair people with their Dream Ring! If you are not happy with your purchase, we accept returns within 5 days of receiving the ring. Contact us and we will send you a return label to ship it back. Once we receive the ring in its original condition then we will issue a full refund. It may take a few days for the funds to show up in your account depending on your bank.

Q: What types of payments do you accept?

A. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, certified check, bank transfer, and Affirm. Important note if you are using a credit/debit card: Most banks impose a spending limit so you may have to contact them to have that changed for a purchase or to let them know that you are making a large purchase. We are also able to split payments over multiple cards! For this option, you can contact us and we can walk you through it!

Q: Will an "out of stock" item be restocked?

A: Unfortunately not! These are all one of a kind vintage and antique engagement rings so there is no other ring quite like it! Sometimes we can recreate a sold piece so Contact Us if there is a style that you can't get off your mind! For some of the vintage-inspired pieces, we can often recreate the ring!

Q: Will you sell the setting without the center stone?

A: Unfortunately not! We do not sell only settings and we try to preserve the vintage integrity so we do not separate the diamonds from the setting.

Q: What shipping do you offer?

A. We offer FREE overnight shipping Monday through Friday in the continental US. The package will come in a UPS or FedEx box and will not have our name on it in case it is a surprise! An adult signature is required upon delivery. The billing address on your order must match the shipping address. International shipments have a flat fee of $100 USD. Contact us for more information on international shipments.

Q: Do you offer payments plans?

A. We do offer layaway plans! Engagement rings can be a large purchase and we want you to be able to get the one that you want before someone else snatches up that one-of-a-kind piece! We offer up to 60-day installment plans and are happy to split payments over multiple cards if needed. Since layaway rings are taken off the market for extended periods of time, they are exchangeable but not returnable. Payments are non-returnable for payment plans. Contact us at info@victorbarbone.com to set up a plan that works for you!

Q: What countries do you ship to?

A. We ship to the United States, Canada, the UK, most European countries, Australia, as well as many other countries. Feel free to contact us to see if we ship to your country! There are often duties and taxes associated with importing jewelry so you can contact your country's customs agency for help in calculating that cost! Shipping on international shipments is a flat $100 USD fully insured.

If we haven't answered your question here, feel free to Contact Us or call us at 646-867-8772 and we will answer any questions you may have!
