Eden

Victorian 3 Stone Diamond Engagement Ring

The Eden Ring is a Victorian 3 stone diamond engagement ring circa 1900! This gorgeous ring centers a 0.90 carat old mine cut diamond of approximately M-N color, VS2 clarity. The diamond is bezel-set in a 15kt yellow gold setting. To each side is a bezel set old mine cut diamond, each about 0.20 carats. The shoulders have gorgeous, scrolling details that make way into a smooth shank. On the inner side of the band are the initials, "C.M.C." The ring is size 5.25 and can be resized!

Why We Love It

Such a beautiful creation! So low profile with super chunky and gorgeous old mine cut cushion diamonds! The side diamonds are whiter than the center diamond which creates gorgeous contrast. The scrolling shoulders are unlike anything we've ever seen! Adventure and elegance in one remarkable ring. It’s a perfect representation of the luxury jewelry worn during the late-Victorian period.

A Ring Fit For A Queen

The Victorian period was defined by the reign of Queen Victoria from 1837-1901. A strong-willed woman who was adored by the public, Victoria’s own personal tastes for jewelry strongly influenced popular culture. Her love for diamonds helped fuel a diamond boom that was fully realized after the South African diamond mines were opened in 1870. Prior to that, most diamond rings only contained clusters of small diamonds. But after the opening of the diamond mines, larger diamonds became more readily available for use in wedding and engagement rings.

The Eden ring is definitely an example of that, with a 0.90 carat old mine cut diamond and two more 0.20 carat old mine cut diamonds. The scrolling shoulders are reminiscent of late-eighteenth century ribbon motifs, and its light, airy style is a beautiful hallmark of the Victorian period!
