Lowndes Grove Plantation features a beautiful historic house restored to its 1786 architectural glory and decorated to match the time period. Gleaming hard woods, gorgeous wall colors, large windows, impressive chandeliers, and more make this house jaw-dropping. The house also has a bridal suite for the bridal party to get ready in all day which saves some hassle on an already busy day!
The house is just the start of the allure of this incredible venue! It is situated on 14 acres of water front land on the Ashley River. Live oaks scatter the property and make a wonderful backdrop for onsite ceremonies and a great spot to hang chandeliers or string lights. The property has a long dock that extends into the Ashley River that can be used for boat arrivals or send offs! This property is also on the Charleston peninsula which makes travel to hotels or after parties very manageable. There are so many other wonderful features to this ideal venue that it is worth checking out in person!

The Legare-Waring House is a historic house located at the Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site. The house has both a bridal suite AND a groom's suite which is not commonly seen. The Avenue of Oaks is a sight to be seen! Directly across from the historic house is a large opening lined with beautiful old oak trees. It is the perfect spot for a scenic ceremony or lively reception with strung lights under the trees! Next to the house is also a lovely lake with space to have a waterfront reception or cocktail hour. The inside of the house is well decorated to suit the era of the house and has many rooms that photograph very well! Plus, this venue has a grand piano in the house that can be used for live piano performances for cocktail hour, food service, or reception.
Middleton Place is a beautiful place to have both your ceremony and reception with a wide array of beautiful gardens! A very popular and renowned place in Charleston, the Gardens at Middleton Place are also America's Oldest Landscaped Gardens! The Gardens are styled in the Classical way with heavy inspiration from the gardens at the Versailles Palace. Classical style gardens are defined by symmetry and geometrical designs. This can be seen in the Butterfly Lakes (pictured above) which is a grand location for a breathtaking ceremony. There are many other scenic areas throughout the grounds to have your ceremony or cocktail hour.

This event space is located in the GORGEOUS Cigar Factory which is (as the name implies) an old cigar factory on the Charleston peninsula that has been brought back to life as an office/ retail/ restaurant/ event space. It is filled with much of the original architectural pieces including large exposed wooden beams, exposed brick walls, bright red sliding metal doors, and restored hardwood floors. The Cedar Room is the designated event hall that has windows on windows on windows that bring in natural light and allow lovely views of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. The hall has an outdoor garden area that can be set up for cocktail hour or used for an indoor/outdoor flow.
